  • "Thermal" in thermal spraying refers to a process of melting a material and "spray" literally spraying such material. Thermal spraying is one of the surface treatment techniques used to form coating by spraying on the surface of a base metal the particles of a material heated in a molten state.
• Princeiple
  • In thermal spraying. a material gets molten using thermal energy from a reversible gas of electric discharge. By accelerating its molten particles through high-velocity air of gases and making them clash on a base metal, the particles get solidifield on the surface immediately, forming a coating.
